What is the objective of the course?

The course content will be tailored to the needs of the workplace(s) involved but will always cover:

  • First Aid Legislation
  • Assessing incidents
  • Dealing with unconscious casualties and Resuscitation
  • Choking
  • Asthma
  • Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Fractures
  • Muscle injuries
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • Aftercare
  • First Aid kits
  • AED Awareness


Candidates will be required to undertake both a theory and practical assessment at the end of the course. The practical assessment is designed to be low stress and ample preparation is given


The maximum number of candidates allowed is 12. It is difficult to run an effective course with less than 4 participants. If run at your premises; smaller numbers can be placed onto one of our open courses.


The certificate is valid for 3 years
